Usomine was the first student awarded the ALB Endowed Scholarship. She plans to return to Nigeria to expand access to financial institutions — creating more affordable options for citizens who do not have access to financial advising.

Born in Cairo, Mohammed is an honors aerospace engineering student at UT Austin and an undergraduate researcher in guidance, navigation, and control. He wants to help unlock Africa’s potential in science, engineering, and space research.
