The African Leadership Bridge was formed in 2007, and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The seed for the organization was planted in 2006, when one of the founders, Rick Reeder, met John Kidenda, a student from Kenya via the Texas-Exes job shadowing program.
With insufficient funding to continue his studies, John was faced with the prospect of returning home. Instead Rick and a small group of friends came together to raise the fees needed for John to complete his undergraduate degree.
What was started by a small group of thoughtful citizens has and will continue to change the world, one future African leader at a time.
